Curator's Statement

The Artstream: New Exhibition Surfaces project, which I am curating, continues to take art beyond traditional galleries and into public and institutional spaces where everyday life flows. In this exciting phase of the project, we are creating a wonderful space for people to come together, supported by and in partnership with the Koç University Sevgi Gönül Cultural Centre.

In this special presentation, the video artwork Odd Structure Material Autonomy (Serial No:108) by Ayşegül Altunok Zilkovski — an artist working in the field of digital sculpture — which is a hybrid production combining 3D modelling and artificial intelligence, will be shared with the audience.

Focusing on the insightful and sensorial layers produced purely by visual language rather than sound, this work aims to develop a new connection with the audience through movement and process. In this model, which transforms the technical infrastructure of institutional spaces into active art surfaces, you too can join this experience to discover digital artworks on new surfaces of meeting.
